Tournament Background:
The Ryukyukan USA - Okinawa Karate Tournament is an annual event in Dixon California, promoted by Ramtown Karate, Inc., and Ryukyukan International Karatedo Kobudo Federation. Ramtown Karate, Inc. is co-owned by Jim Ernest and Kathy Ernest, both Shorinryu Ryukyukan 6th dans. The President of Ryukyukan is Koei Nohara, 9th dan, Urasoe, Okinawa.
The goals of the Tournament are:
-Promote friendship between Karate students in Okinawa and Karate students in the US and the international community.
-Promote traditional Okinawan and Japanese Karate.
-Present Okinawa Culture, and Okinawan Knockdown style fighting, and traditional kata and kobudo competition.
-To run a kumite division based on USA Karate rules, endorsed and judged by USA Karate and Northern California Karatedo Federation (NCKF) judges and referees, to present the most professionally run tournament possible.

By clicking the "I Agree" you are electronically signing this agreement indicating that you have read, and understood the terms and conditions, refund policy, and release of liability, you are 18 years of age or older or the parent or legal guardian of the minor registering for this tournament or event. In the case of registering a minor you attest that the name entered as the parent or legal guardian is the name of the person accepting the agreement and you are in fact the parent or legal guardian of the registered minor.

In consideration of my being permitted to compete in the USA - Okinawa Karate Tournament to be held at Dixon High School, Dixon California on Sunday November 15, 2015 (hereafter
referred to as the Tournament). I agree on behalf of myself, and my heirs, successors, and assigns as follows: I agree to abide by the Tournament rules and to accept the official’s decisions. I release Ryukyukan, Ramtown Karate, Dixon Unified School District, the Northern California Karatedo Federation, the Tournament, promoters and all the officers, employees, instructors and representatives from all liability and claims which I may have against any of them for any injury of whatever kind, or death, resulting form my participation in the Tournament or in traveling to, from or about the Tournament, whether or not such claim be based upon negligence of such person or entity. I accept full financial obligations for medical expenses, incurred for medical, hospitalization and other expenses related to injury or death resulting from my participation in the tournament or in traveling to, from or about the Tournament. I release and hold harmless Dixon Unified School District, the Tournament, and all other officers, employees, instructors and representatives from claims or liability for those expenses described in Paragraph 2 above. I understand that first aid will be offered for any injury incurred at the Tournament (unconsciousness is implied consent) and local Emergency Medical Services will be called if deemed necessary. I consent to the use, free of any compensation to me, of any photographs or videos taken of me in connection with the Tournament. Under 18 Years of Age requires approval and acceptance by parent or guardian.
