MESSAGE FROM THE TOURNAMENT DIRECTORS
It is a pleasure to invite you to the California Golden Gate Karate Championships.
We can look forward to an eventful day as we watch the students from around the country compete for their titles. It is on this day that hundreds of karate-kas from California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Arizona, Hawaii and other states and countries come together and exchange their talents and goodwill. We appreciate the extra efforts involved in traveling from other states and abroad. It is our hope that you will all benefit from your hard efforts and take home many fond memories and new friendships.
We'd like to extend our sincere thanks and appreciation to all businesses and sponsors who contributed through their advertisements and donations. To all the families, supporters, judges, referees, and assistants: Thank you for all your dedication and support to make this championship a truly outstanding one. Thanks to all the participating Karate schools, their instructors and students. Your competitive spirit is a key in maintaining the highest level of skill and determination necessary for any successful tournament.

RELEASE: I, the undersigned do hereby voluntarily submit my application for participation in the CALIFORNIA GOLDEN GATE KARATE CHAMPIONSHIPS and do hereby assume full responsibility for any and all damages, injuries, or that I may sustain or incur, if any, while attending or participating and hereby waive all claims against the promoters , operators or sponsors, judges, officials, opponents and their families and Tice Valley Gym of said Karate tournament, individually or otherwise, for any claim for injuries that I may sustain. I fully understand that Karate is a body contact sport and that any medical treatment given to me will be the FIRST AID type ONLY. I further submit that I am in a good physical condition and have my doctor’s approval to compete in this event. **Divisions may be combined or split further based on age, rank or number of competitors.
